Today, we cleared a flower bed in our backyard. Instead of planting some annuals, we decided to mulch most of the flower bed, left a couple rose bushes and a lavender bush, and finally planted 3 varieties of tulip bulbs i bought 4 months ago. Back in our vegetable garden, we cleared 2 of the 6 beds of weeds and planted french green beans on one of them. Kelly got rid of two grapevines. In its place we will plant some seedless watermelon or maybe cantelope. One of the vegetable beds is being prepped for two grape plants a friend is giving us.
